Grindelwald, a hospitable glacier village in the Jungfrau Region, lies well embedded in an alternating, but yet genuine alpine landscape. The spectacular and world famous, ice-topped mountains - Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau - belong to Grindelwald's scenery. Here you find 17 ski lifts, providing access to the more than 180km of pistes in the area. The highest Point accessible by railway is Jungfraujoch at 3454m. The longest run is Schilthorn-Lauterbrunnen with its 15 km, and an amazing 2100m drop. |
